New Light Baptist Church, Chesapeake, Virginia

New Light Baptist Church (“New Light”) on Cedar Road in Chesapeake Virginia has entered into a contract for design and construction of its new 23,980 square foot facility with Church Development LLC of Virginia Beach Virginia.  New Light’s building was destroyed by fire in early 2009 after a substantial amount of site work had been done in preparation for a new construction project.  CDS contacted New Light to determine if we could help them after the fire.  Pastor Darryl McClary explained that New Light had incurred substantial costs in their initial design and site work, but that the plans needed to change.  CDS worked closely with New Light to arrange the demolition of the burned building and to provide architectural and construction plans that will meet the future needs of New Light at a cost that New Light’s congregation will be able to support.
